The Jolie Pez Project: The Jolie Visits Detroit

The Jolie has become very popular. This may be due to the fact that so few people have actually met her. Bit by bit she is making her way around the continent and the world, and showing people that her Mona Lisa smile hides a troublesome personality.

Sara has been one of the many people patiently waiting for a visit from the blessed one and finally, she got what she wished for. Once again, people should be careful about that wishing thing.

“Ding dong” “Who’s there?”  The Jolie has arrived to Detroit on a beautiful fall day!

Her first day was spent at the 3rd Annual Detroit Fall Beer Festival, where she met all sorts of interesting characters.

It’s true, once you visit, you too will love Michigan.

The mighty Thor made a worth adversary of The Jolie, but of course we know who triumphed.

The Jolie, after her interview with Borat, needed much time to decide who was humiliated more.

The Jolie was bestowed the honor of Michigan Beer Inspector –  a duty she took none too lightly.

Closing the festival, The Jolie attempted to take down the Great Detroit Wizard…”Next time he won’t get away so easy” she swore.

Lost among the architect’s desk things, The Jolie couldn’t help but get the design bug.

She quickly realized that architecture can be extremely mentally exhausting and passed out on her reflected ceiling plan drawings.

Like most everyone else, The Jolie couldn’t leave the office without taking a picture with the British Royal Guard who watches over our boss’s door.

She did not find it funny when a coworker threatened her with Dwight from The Office.  As a tomb raider her first instinct is always to fight.

Shortly thereafter, she was taunted by the office Pegasus.  This was an easy defeat.

Walking away with her prize, The Jolie knew she’d fondly remember her time in Detroit…even if her host forgot her at home too often!

The Jolie was fortunate enough to attend Game 5 of the ALCS Tigers vs. Rangers game.  This is opening pitch.

The Jolie was pumped when we got a guy on second.

All in all it was a great game, as the Jolie stared out at the Blimp dreaming of a Pennant win for the Tigers…only to have those dreams foiled the next evening.

And that wrapped up The Jolie’s visit to Detroit. How cool is it that she got to see a baseball playoff game?  She’ll probably never forget it. The Jolie now has been to two major league baseball parks and a college football stadium.

After Detroit, The Jolie headed to my house in North Carolina in time to go to Key West, Florida with me. I’ll post her adventures down there next week. While we were in Key West, The Jolie commented on how much she liked being out west and how she thought she might like to stay out west for a bit, so she is off to California for her next visit. Geography isn’t exactly her strong point.

Thank you so much to Sara for hosting The Jolie. Please stop by her site Deep Thoughts Of A Fragmented Nature

Thanks also to everyone who is still waiting. One of the things I have found is that it is hard to say when I can get The Jolie to a certain spot. I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm, patience and reminders!

  2. Brooke says:

I tell ya, she’s a sucker for a cold beer. And I love the pegasus… I kind of want one now. 🙂

  3. I love that The Jolie met so many celebs at the beer fest. I want to go next year!

  4. Jason says:

Check out how jealous the girl in the background of the Borat picture is of the Jolie.

  5. She needs to wipe that smug, judgmental grin off her face when she is in the presence of a great wizard. Or wizard wanna-be. Or she will find that SHE shall not pass.

  6. Spectra says:

Looks like the Jolie never misses an opportunity to party when she mails in for a visit somewhere, anywhere!

It would save a lot on postage if she could just start riding that flying Pegasus between destinations, now that she’s broken and dominated him.

  7. Snoring Dog Studio says:

Somehow, The Jolie just couldn’t get that crowd to do the wave. She should have knocked a few heads together.

  8. Blogdramedy says:

Oma, thanks for the reminder to send you a reminder. 🙂

I hope you’ve got me somewhere on The Jolie’s visitation list. We’re heading to the boat sometime in December for four months…she’ll have her own cabin and everything. I may even let her take the helm. 😉

  9. Pauline says:

What a great adventure! I hope Dwight was also an easy victory! 😉

She had quite an adventure there. That was a tiny Pegasus. It must be a baby.
